Conservation Science

The EWT’s Conservation Science unit provides data analysis, mapping and training support to EWT’s various programmes and projects.

We are responsible for managing data-sharing with other organizations, individuals and companies that require Biodiversity Data for conservation and planning purposes, and manage a centralized EWT Biodiversity DataBank, so that datasets collected by our different researchers on different focal species in different locations can be seamlessly combined, stored, extracted, analysed and mapped.

We are also revising the National Mammal Red List in collaboration with MammalMAP and SANBI.
